Syncing Incident Management 'Situation' to Incident Reporting

You can sync your Situation Report form in your Incident Management account (Operations Center platform) to a draft incident in your Incident Reporting account. Setting up synchronization will reduce duplication of effort. Note that a subscription to both Operations Center and Incident Reporting is required to utilize this feature.

🔑 ACCESS LEVEL: Account Owner

ℹ️ NOTE: Only one member needs to configure the synchronization. Once field mapping has been set up, synchronization will occur automatically. There will no longer be the option to choose what to do with the data when shutting down an incident as the default is now to push it to Incident Reporting as a new draft.

⚠️ ATTENTION: You will first need to add custom fields to your Incident Reporting account to be able to map the fields across from your situation.

⚠️ ATTENTION: It's important to note that once this integration is enabled, the next time you start a new incident Channel in Incident Management (Operations Center platform) a Draft Incident Report will automatically be created. See below how to turn this off.

ℹ️ NOTE: Make sure you have already added an API Access Key

To set up syncing:

  1. Go to the Admin Area
  2. Expand Settings
  3. Select D4H Products Integration
  4. Under D4H Team click Select team
  5. Sign into your Incident Reporting account
  6. Under Incident Data Synchronization click Enable Synchronization
  7. Enter your Incident Reporting username and password

  10. Next click IM Situation <-> IR Incident to bring up the Situation field mapping options
  11. Select which fields on the Situation report will be pushed across to the corresponding Incident Reporting fields
  12. Click Save

To turn off the creation of a draft incident report:

  3. Check the box to turn off this setting

Field Mapping

ℹ️ NOTE: If you are using the channel 'status' field on the situation, you will need to create a custom field for this in your Incident Reporting account. It can be mapped to a text or text area field type.

Refer to the following field type equivalencies when mapping:
