Linking a Role to a Task

Roles are often linked to an Assignee field on the Tasks template. This means that when someone who has been assigned a role goes to the tasks module, they are able to filter the tasks list to My Items. This will display only tasks assigned to their role.

🔑 ACCESS LEVEL: Account Owner

ℹī¸ NOTE: If something is assigned to you or your role, you will get a notification. If you are currently logged into your Incident Management account (Operations Center platform), the notification will pop up on screen. If you are not logged in, you will receive an email notification.

To link a role to a task: 

  1. Go to the Admin Area
  2. Expand Templates
  3. Select the orange Edit icon next to the both templates you want to link
  4. Add a relationship field to both your tasks and to your personnel roles forms in templates
  5. Click Save
