Customizing Alert Templates
Create reusable alert templates for common scenarios to save time and keep messaging consistent. Use the Instant Send for quick one-tap deployment or customize alerts for more detailed communication.
đ ACCESS LEVEL REQUIRED: Manage Alert Settings must be configured under Additional Policies.
âšī¸ NOTE: If you receive a warning, check that the Alert severity and Recipients are still correctly assigned to the template. For example, if an Alert severity has been deleted, the template cannot be sent until it is updated with a valid severity.
- Go to the Admin Area
- Expand Alerting
- Select Templates
- Click + New alert template
- Type in the Name and Description
- Select the Sending mode
- Instant send ensures that after confirmation, your template will be sent as-is with no further edits
- Edit before send allows users will configure the final alert before it is sent
- Select the timeframe for Step accepting responses after
- Choose the Select recipients
- Select Groups or Individuals to include those recipients in the alert
- Use Select all or Deselect all to include or remove in bulk
- If you also have D4H Personnel & Training; choose On-Call Only to include personnel listed as on-call via the on-call planner. Enter your search query in the top white box for faster results.
- Select Groups or Individuals to include those recipients in the alert
- Type in your alert message in the Alert text field (120 character limit)
- To receive feedback from the recipient(s), you can click +Add response option under Response options, e.g. Accept and Decline
- Each alert will automatically include a built-in option for the recipient to acknowledge
- Click Save
Pinned templates will display at the top
- To pin or reorder your alert templates, hover over the alert template
- Click and hold the â ŋ drag handle icon that appears to the left
- Drag and drop the alert template to the pinned templates section if you want them to be pinned when sending
