Changing Member Statuses
Member statuses serve distinct functions within D4H in relation to your members on your team. You can modify these statuses at any time to update a member's functionality. Instead of deleting members, it's better to change their status to Retired. This way, all their data remains intact but it revokes their access. It is also possible to customize your member statuses.
🔑 ACCESS LEVEL REQUIRED: Owner or Editor
Member Status Descriptions:
- Operational is the status for all of your trained members. These members are considered part of your response team. They can be on and off-call depending on their availability.
- Non-Operational is the status for members who assist behind the scenes such as administrators. This status can also be used for members whom are off-duty for an extended period of time or are Probationary. They are always considered off-call.
ℹ️ NOTE: Support members who do respond to incidents, and thus need to be on-call, should be classified as "operational", even if they are not considered responders. They can be distinguished using the custom member statuses. Use non-operational for those who do not need to (or cannot, such as trainees) respond to incidents.
- Retired is the status for members of your team that have retired. If a member is moved to this status their access is also removed. See retirement reasons.
⚠️ ATTENTION:
- If a member has been issued equipment, make sure those items are reassigned to a new location or marked as Retired before changing the member’s status to Retired. If not, the system will return an error.
- If Two-Way Data Sync with Operations Center is enabled, retiring a member in Team Manager will automatically remove them from Operations Center.
- Observer is the status for members that can be given permission to sign into a team but will never appear in attendance lists, will never get email alerts and will never get a weekly briefing. They will only have access to log in and view the same data as an individual with member permission level without being included in the day-to-day administration of your team.
